Blue covers with gilt lettering. All very good condition. Title date 1928, CR 1927, 478 pages with index, black and white photos. Graves is on the frontis. A Kentucky native, he relocated to California. He suffered distraous times, made and lost money, regained his composure, became a lawyer, merchant and banker, and in Marysville (Los Angeles) was a decent honest person. His memories of how California became the state it is today and how he was a part of it.
