Gray embossed covers, foxing, slight wear to covers, on page 16 a small piece is torn out at the outside margin, overall good+. Adventure story covering the author's travels on the Straits of DeFuca, to Vancouver's Island and on to Kahtai, Port Townsend. Author is very descriptive in his conversations with the Klalam Indians. He holds nothing back - loudly voices his opinions throughout the book. Also included is Winthrop's journey to the isthmus of Panama. History, Native Americans, indians, Klalam indians, Northwestern Indians, Columbia River, Oregon, exploration, Northwestern History, Vancouver's Island, Panama., western americana.
