1 Asimov, Isaac. The Intelligent Mans Guide to Science.
New York Basic Books Stated first Edition Hard Cover Slipcased
CR 1960, stated first edition. Two volumes, slipcased. all very good condition. Volume 1: The Physical Sciences has 382 pages. Volume 2: The Biological Sciences to page 853 with index, list of illustrations, bibliography and an appendix, "Mathematics In Science". Black and white illustrations, photos and charts. Blue covers. Introduction by George W. Beadle. Professor Asimov is a master teacher. He knows and understands science in both its history and its substance. He explains what science is all about, how it came to be, and some of the people involved in its development. Books have a very slight musty odor - don't believe anyone ever read the books.
