Illustrated with 13 Eliane Bonabel charcoal sketches printed on light blue paper by Merid en Gravure Co., Meriden, Connecticut. Translated and introduction by Walter and Catherine Alison Phillips. A classic of German 19th Century literature shows Mozart driving with his wife to Prague for the production of his still unfinished opera, Don Giovanni - stopping at a village, wanders into grounds of a local magnate and a ludicrous incident brings about an introduction to the Count's family - and Mozart finally plays the grim finale of his Don Giovanni.
