The anecdotes were heard from Whistler's own lips. Biographical data gathered from casual sources and are no doubt, subject to incidental correction. Views concerning his art were formed while watching h im at work day after day, and after many interviews. The book has many newspaper clippings inside about Whistler, also his obituary, etc. ALSO - there is a black and white sketch of Whistler, standing with a walking stick, with this inscription at the bottom: "To Mrs. C.J. Harrington. This Whistler from proof etching by W.J. Little (not sure of name) to go with Whistler book. Valentine Day 1904."
